Job Summary

Under the direction of the General Manager, the employee shall be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the overall Casino buildings and grounds. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Coyote Valley Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Value Statement of the Coyote Valley Casino.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Must consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service to customers and employees, and represent the casino in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Shall repair and maintain physical structures of the Gaming facilities.
  • Shall paint structures, repair plaster and repair woodwork.
  • Shall clean canopies and lawn furniture as needed.
  • Shall repair or replace locks and mechanical equipment in buildings as needed.
  • Shall ensure that public areas in and around the facilities are free of litter and debris (parking and outside main entrance).
  • Shall set up and break down all tables for special events, including dance floor, etc.
  • Shall be responsible for the safety and security of personnel within the facilities by ensuring safety devices are in good/proper working order.
  • Must abide by the dress code maintaining the professional appearance of the Casino at all times.
  • Must be able to work well with Co‑workers/Supervisor/Managers.
  • May be asked to perform various duties as assigned by the Maintenance Coordinator or General Manager.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
Education / Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years experience in the technical fields of carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
Language Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
Reasoning Ability
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The Employee is also regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The Employee is also required to stand and move through all areas of the casino.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate loud. When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an intense environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.

  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
