SUMMARY
The Facilities Support member role is an essential part of ensuring that the St. Andrew's campus remains welcoming, operating efficiently, functional and ready for ministry and community events. This position provides hands-on support for opening the campus facilities, maintaining and upgrading the campus buildings and grounds.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open and prepare the Preschool classrooms, building and playground each day.
- Open buildings and disarm alarms.
- Prepare grounds around buildings, ensuring that the areas are clean and welcoming.
- Assist with completing repairs as needed. This includes replacing lights, repairing furniture, patching and repairing walls, etc.
- Report damage, campus or building repair needs to Facilities Lead.
- Assist with event set up and tear down when needed.
- Ensure set ups for early events are complete
Campus:
Upkeep and Maintenance
- Refill paper products, soap and other consumable supplies in restrooms and kitchen areas.
- Spot clean, as needed, each day; including spills, litter and vacuuming.
- Assist with maintaining an organized and well-stocked inventory of custodial and event supplies.
- Must be an active member of a Christian church and supportive of the mission and values of St. Andrew's.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive, flexible and dependable attitude.
- Attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks efficiently.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including the lifting and moving of heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must speak and understand English, bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to read a diagram.
- Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use the Microsoft suite applications:
Word, Outlook and Teams; ability to access online schedules and enter hours worked in Timecard.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Six months to one year of facilities or custodial experience required.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to work with systems of measure.
