After School Custodian

Applications will be accepted beginning Monday, July 27, 2026 12:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time)

• 1. High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2. Basic custodial skills

• Change light bulbs.
• Clean windows, walls, rugs, janitor closets, lights, and picks up trash around school buildings.
• Dust mop and wet mop class rooms, offices, bathrooms, stairs, hallways, gym and boiler room.
• Set up and clean cafeteria for breakfast and lunch.
• Open and secure building A.M. and P.M.
• Prepare maintenance reports and request for Superintendent.
• Complies with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash and waste.
• Repair minor plumbing and electrical problems.
• Order supplies and unload supplies.
• Responds to emergency clean ups and spills.
• Practices safety rules.
• Summer cleaning:
  Strip and wax floors, wash all furniture, wash filters, clean air conditioners and blowers. Move and arrange furniture within building as required.
• Operate cleaning equipment: vacuums, floor strippers, cleaning buffer and polisher and carpet shampooer.
• Apply all school and district policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff and community.
• Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
