SUBSTITUTE CLEANER

If you are looking for flexible work, consider being a substitute for Cloquet Schools! The best candidates for permanent positions come from our substitute staff! Cloquet Public School is looking for substitute part-time cleaners to work in all school district buildings to backfill cleaning shifts as needed. Positions range from 1:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.

• Vacuum, sweep and/or dust-mop floors in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, entryways and other areas of assigned building(s).
• Wet/damp mop cafeteria, kitchen, bathroom floors; clean and sanitize sinks, fountains, fixtures, partitions, mirrors and floor drains; replace hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Spot mop classrooms, halls, stairs, entryways, kitchen, cafeteria and other areas as needed to maintain clean and safe walking surfaces.
• Empty trash containers and pencil sharpeners; remove and replace trash liners in trash containers.
• Inspect rooms, halls and stairways; remove marks, stains, and gum from floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures and furnishings; clean door glass; dust all areas; replace burned out light bulbs.
• Perform minor grounds maintenance including sweeping and shoveling snow from walkways, entryways and stairs; picking up trash; and cleaning windows.
• Provide excellent customer service to building staff, students and other users.
• Reports maintenance needs to Head Custodian such as repairs, products, and cleaning supplies.
• Perform set ups and cleanups for events and activities; lock and unlock doors.
• Performs other duties of a comparable level or type.

Pay rate: $16.26/hour
