Job Description & How to Apply Below
* Teach core concepts in physical science, life science, earth and space science, and engineering practices at the 8th-grade level.
* Provide direct instruction to students in general science
* Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
* Help students develop the skills and strategies for scientific problem solving
* Understand the basic concepts of science
* Assist students in understanding the natural and human-designed worlds
* Teach students how to obtain knowledge about nature
* Show students historical models of biological and chemical processes and concepts and explain how they've changed
* Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
* Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities.
* Collaborate with special education teachers and administration.
* Maintain appropriate contact with parents to enrich student performance.
* Utilize detailed data analysis of student performance to deliver best practices.
* Maintain school culture of high academic and behavioral expectations through continuous reflection.
* Qualifications
Must hold a Professional Educator License with a middle school endorsement in Science.
Salary/Benefits
In accordance with experience and PNA Contract ($49,437-$66,785)
