Science Teacher in Calumet , IL

• Current teaching license with Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Health Science endorsement preferred or similar certification in chemistry, anatomy, or general science
• Demonstrated experience teaching science at the middle or junior high level
• Strong communication skills and classroom management abilities
• Ability to commit onsite virtual work is not available for this role

• Deliver engaging health science curriculum to junior high students
• Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and support diverse learning styles
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science program and participate in school initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with families

• Full-time, on-site position
• Work schedule:
  
  33.75 hours weekly, no flexibility in hours
• Assignment runs from ASAP through May 21, 2027
• Serving one campus with a focused caseload in health science classes
