Description
The Second Shift Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and maintenance of the Camarillo facility, which includes greenhouses, various service buildings, packaging facilities, boiler rooms and grounds.

- Supervise & assist with leading the maintenance team.
- Assist in the supervision and completion of new projects.
- Assist with overseeing and completing assigned maintenance tasks required on all facility assets.
- Manage spare parts and material inventory for irrigation systems, welding shop, and facility equipment
- Supervise and assist in completing assigned maintenance requests from the various departments.
- Anticipate repairs and replacements for facility assets.
- Assist and implement preventative maintenance programs for machinery and mechanical systems.
- Supervise and ensure the implementation of safety protocols in the maintenance department. Ensure all employees are operating maintenance machinery safely and within compliance requirements.
- Plan employee shifts to always ensure emergency coverage.
- Assist in managing and solving issues that affect day to day operation in the following departments:
Greenhouse, Packhouse. Bring forward ideas and solutions to mitigate any issues. - Maintain and adhere to all worksite safety, food safety, hygiene protocols and compliance standards.
- Supervise and ensure employees follow established policies and procedures while encouraging quality and continuous improvement.
- Determine staffing requirements, work assignment and schedules.
- Supervise ongoing training and development of the Maintenance team.
- Monitor and mentor employees while providing feedback.
- Use required PPE per OSHA regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to assess a problem and dissect why this is happening.
- Ability to work under stress when equipment fails.
- Ability to work in conditions typically found in a greenhouse with high humidity and varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to be on call if required
Experience:
- Must be well-versed in all maintenance processes, health and safety regulations
- Must have solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical equipment and climate control systems generally found in and around greenhouses
- General knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic installations
- Must be able to operate forklift
- Welding and fabricating skills
- Must be 21+ years old
- Willingness to work weekends
- Willingness to work odd hours if the situation asks for it.
- Flexible availability for work hours
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task
- Authorized to work in the United States
- This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
- Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.
