Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician – Photo Lithography

Shift: Nights 2 (Wed–Fri, alternating Sat), 7:00PM - 7:00AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the Photo Lithography toolsets within a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting capability, and a proven ability to independently own and drive equipment performance.

This role is best suited for experienced technicians with strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated proficiency on one or more of the following systems: ASML PAS
5500, Ultra Tech 1500 Stepper (WAS/MVS), TEL ACT8 Coater/Developer/SOG

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining tool reliability, improving uptime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating cross-functionally across the Fab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Photo Lithography equipment
  • Own toolset performance, including uptime, reliability, and resolution of recurring issues
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions for complex equipment failures
  • Partner with engineering and vendor teams to resolve technical issues and optimize equipment performance
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians during troubleshooting and maintenance activities
  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance strategies while identifying opportunities for optimization
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including procedures, specifications, and maintenance records
  • Support cross-functional Fab operations and provide technical expertise across multiple tool areas as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience, with demonstrated expertise in relevant toolsets
  • Proven ability to independently perform complex troubleshooting and maintenance in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical proficiency
  • Demonstrated experience owning equipment performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with digital tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication
  • Ability to lead within a team environment while collaborating effectively across functions
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of reliability, accountability, and consistent attendance
  • Military technical experience or formal technical education is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • 11.75-hour shifts on an alternating 3- and 4-day schedule
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced cleanroom environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions and at elevated heights when required
  • Work with hazardous materials, including toxic and inert gases, following strict safety protocols

Additional Requirements

  • DHS background check required for this position

Education and experience

  • Associates Degree in Electronics/Mechatronics is preferred.
  • Experience repairing complex manufacturing equipment (5+ years preferred). Semiconductor equipment experience required (specifically ASML PAS
    5500, Ultra Tech 1500 Stepper (WAS/MVS), TEL ACT8 Coater/Developer/SOG equipment). Related electronics and/or mechanical Military experience will also be considered.
  • Training in the handling of hazardous chemicals, gases, and materials preferred

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $38 to $53.

  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors
  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
  • Benefits for the position includes 10 paid holidays per year, paid vacation starting at 136 hours per year for full-time employees (prorated for part-time employees), and paid sick time that exceeds the requirements of the Washington State Sick Leave law.
