Shipping/Receiving Associate

Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

• Build crates used for product shipments using power tools.
• Operate forklift or other power‑driven equipment to load or move materials; must be willing and able to become certified and perform proper forklift techniques.
• Package customer product sufficiently to protect it during shipment.
• Process customer orders throughout the day.
• Maintain shipping and receiving forms, records, and logs.
• Create bill of lading, assemble shipping documentation, and contact carrier as needed.
• Create delivery and post goods issued.
• Process orders in the UPS system or other required systems.
• Receive and unload incoming freight.
• Follow all Regal Rexnord Safety procedures.
• Follow approved procedures in receiving, material storage, shipping preparation, order picking, and order staging.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, workstations, and areas neat and orderly; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Fork truck certification preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills required.

• Work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience with building materials (building crates/boxes).
• Previous administrative experience with UPS or Fed Ex.
• Experience with document control and validation.
• Experience with SAP or an ERP.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; respond quickly to changing situations based on movements, lights, signals, or speed.

The job requires occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, frequent alternation between sitting and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and bending. Vision abilities required include depth perception, spatial orientation, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to manipulate machine or vehicle controls to exact positions continuously and time movements or the movement of equipment in anticipation of changes in speed or direction of a moving object or scene.

The work environment involves moving mechanical parts, with noise level usually minimal to moderate.
