In this role, you’ll ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of essential infrastructure while delivering top‑tier preventive maintenance and repair services. You’ll be part of CBRE’s Engineering & Technical Services team, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and long‑term building performance.

What You’ll Do- Assign work orders, estimate labor and material needs, and maintain proper inventory of tools and supplies.
- Perform maintenance and advanced repairs across mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, and control systems to keep building operations aligned with required standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and company safety directives.
- Develop and manage an energy efficiency program to ensure systems operate at peak performance.
- Oversee, coordinate, and inspect work completed by outside contractors. Respond to inquiries and resolve concerns from clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Lead the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure all building systems meet or exceed lifecycle expectations. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Review and sign off on inspections of building systems—including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing—to ensure equipment operates within design specifications and maintains required environmental conditions.
- Apply advanced technical expertise to drive new and improved methods, supporting both personal and departmental objectives.
- Demonstrate subject‑matter expertise while maintaining in‑depth knowledge across related functions within the organization.
- Coach and mentor team members to build technical capability and breadth of knowledge.
- Lead by example through behaviors aligned with CBRE’s RISE values. Effectively influence stakeholders at various levels, anticipating objections and guiding teams toward solutions.
- Contribute to process improvements, new standards, and operational plans that support organizational success.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly, with the ability to influence decisions and outcomes.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma and 5–8 years of related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Additional certifications in any of the following are strongly preferred: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, process controls, mechanical power transmission, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role—stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying 50+ lbs.
- An innovative mindset and the ability to develop improved methods and solutions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve unique and complex issues with broad organizational impact.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Advanced organizational skills paired with a highly inquisitive, analytical mindset.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to perform moderately complex calculations (percentages, fractions, financial figures).
