Temporary summer employee working in the Facilities Department. Selected candidates will work on a variety of projects including painting, moving, and cleaning. Successful candidates must safely use hand and power tools, custodial cleaning equipment, vehicles, lifts, scaffolds, ladders, and other equipment. They may also be assigned to help electricians, plumbers, HVAC, and custodial personnel to complete project requests and work orders.

• Sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing; making minor repairs and adjustments.
• Cleaning and caring for floors (wood, concrete, vinyl tile), walls (plaster, wood, cinder block), windows, light fixtures, toilets, washbowls, furniture equipment such as vacuums, carpet extractors, burnishes, floor washing machines, etc.
• Replacing light bulbs and ceiling tiles using ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
• Care and maintenance of school grounds, including litter pickup and removal, sweeping of walkways, raking, mowing, and watering grass where designated, requiring the use of hand and power lawn mowers.

All candidates must pass a CORI background check before an offer is made. Work hours will be 8 hours a day between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Specific hours and schedules will be communicated in advance. Employment is anticipated to start in June/July and end in late August of 2025.

This temporary position is not eligible for benefits, paid holidays, or any time off. Employees are paid only for time worked. Temporary employees are expected to behave and dress appropriately. Employment may be terminated at any time due to lack of work assignments, employee performance, or management decision.
