Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
We are seeking an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Lead to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and preventive maintenance. The incumbent will also apply basic fixes to the building, its systems and equipment and ensure the facility is tidy and functional. The candidate must possess manual dexterity, physical stamina, and solid technical knowledge.
Your role in our team- You will perform preventative maintenance on printing presses, die cutters, folder/gluers, bindery equipment, HVAC, boiler systems, and other production equipment.
- You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration with operators and outside repair services—both onsite and through remote diagnostics—is expected.
- You will order repair parts and manage the spare‑parts inventory.
- Accurate tracking and electronic documentation of all repairs is required.
- Basic fabrication and welding may be performed as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment is essential.
- Oversight of building maintenance contracts and coordination with outside vendors is part of the role.
- You will assign tasks, monitor progress, and mentor or train maintenance team members.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with a strong preference for high‑speed printing or packaging environments.
- Experience with Heidelberg and Bobst equipment.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC, boiler systems, and LOTO procedures.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and working with PLCs and sensor‑driven components.
- Lean Six Sigma or 5S methodologies may be leveraged to enhance efficiency.
This position offers an hourly pay range of $35 to $40, based on experience and qualifications.
