Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
The Sr. Maintenance Technician will maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes supporting production activities associated with the Pilot Plant and R&D Operations, including execution and coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies for enhancement of existing assets. In addition, you will provide oversight of contractors in support of capital improvements.
Responsibilities- Support production activities through machine and process configuration and changeover (30%)
- Troubleshoot by determining root cause and steps to eliminate recurrence (20%)
- PLC and HMI troubleshooting and enhancements (20%)
- General maintenance tasks as assigned (10%)
- Assist in project implementations through contractor scheduling and oversight (10%)
- Documentation of work tasks associated with equipment, systems, and processes within the Computer Maintenance & Management System (10%)
- Support & deliver safety requirements (10%)
Provide support to operations in running machines at centerline conditions, standard speeds, etc. to maximize productivity. Maintain spares as needed to ensure equipment availability. Maintain and troubleshoot process control and electrical distribution systems for reliable operation of plant manufacturing. Analyze and determine equipment and process failures and expeditiously return them to working service. In-depth knowledge of electrical control devices and circuitry in association with programmable logic controls and machine interfaces.
Participate in Safety Program and organizational improvement teams.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 6 years’ experience working in a manufacturing facility
- Technical Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Systems (nice to have)
- Computer skills to leverage Computer Maintenance Management System (nice to have)
- Ability to work in an inclusive and team environment (nice to have)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in association with electrical power, control, and mechanical systems (nice to have)
- Proficient knowledge of Food Safety and Safe Work Practices (nice to have)
- Knowledge of food processing equipment and processes (nice to have)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, SOPs, and manuals (nice to have)
The target base salary range for this full‑time, salaried position is between $73,400 and $105,600. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
