Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Overview
An opportunity has arisen to join our Maintenance Team within the NHS Fife Central & North-East Fife Sector. The Maintenance Technician role involves planned maintenance, testing, minor repairs to plant, equipment and buildings, cleaning of plant & equipment, daily plant room routines and assisting the craftsmen posts to carry out their duties.
Key DetailsFull Driving Licence is essential. This post is based at Cameron Hospital but you are required to work anywhere in the Central & North East Fife Area. Your salary is dependent on qualifications, knowledge and experience of multi-trade abilities.
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
Responsibilities- Planned maintenance, testing and minor repairs to plant, equipment and buildings.
- Cleaning of plant & equipment.
- Daily plant room routines.
- Assist the craftsmen posts to carry out their duties.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Multi‑trade abilities.
- Be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
- Right to work in the UK, or eligible for visa sponsorship before applying.
