Facilities Management Manager

Education Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited technical school or equivalent with major in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, electronics, and refrigeration.

Experience:

Ten years' experience in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical trades.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of maintenance in the following areas: plumbing, electrical, minor electronics and controls, heating/ventilation and air conditioning, general type carpentry, general maintenance on ceilings, floors, wall repairs, doors, and door hardware. Must have a good working knowledge of JCAHO requirements and understanding of the Life Safety code. Must have good communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have the potential to manage multiple projects and Facility Techs.

Directs, manages, and supervises the PMI program. Capable of coordinating the demand and PMI maintenance work at the assigned facilities.

Physical Demands:
Good physical and mental dexterity. Must possess an approved safe driving record. Able to climb ladders, lift necessary tools and direct the worker in fulfilling the required duties.

Facilities Management Manager Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, informs, and controls the activities for the Facility Maintenance services. Manages the PMI program, repairs, installations, and maintenance of the Facilities Department to insure a safe, efficient, and cost effective operation. Assumes responsibility of technical, educational, and training activities for staff. Demonstrates effective communication with the managers of the facilities. Responsible for meeting State, Federal, and JCAHO standards of safety in assigned areas.

Strives to perform duties expected in exercising good engineering practice. Prepares, completes, and reassigns all employee evaluations to the Director prior to due date.
