Merrill Gardens at Campbell is currently accepting applications for Universal Worker to help support residents within our beautiful community residents call home.

Maintenance
- Perform general maintenance as needed or assigned. Defrost refrigerators; change light bulbs and A/C filters; check fire extinguishers, exits, and emergency lights monthly; complete maintenance work orders; and create work orders for more specific maintenance needed.
- Ensure walls, floors, floor coverings, doors, windows, furniture, and woodwork in the common areas are properly maintained and repaired.
- Repair and maintain vacated rooms in a timely manner, which includes painting walls and cleaning carpets.
- Maintain and repair all in‑house plumbing as needed.
- Provide minor electrical work within units and in common areas.
- Complete all work orders in a timely manner, noting any other work that needs completed at the location but is not listed on the work order.
- Document safety issues as well as physical plan deficiencies related to local, county, state, and federal guidelines.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor in preventative maintenance and cleaning of the community vehicles.
- Assist with training and development of safety procedures and hazard communications.
- Respond immediately and appropriately to accidents and emergencies based on established protocol.
- Paint common areas and vacant apartments.
Housekeeping
- Routine and deep cleaning of common areas and offices, including lobby, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, model and vacant apartments.
- Wash, dry, fold, and return community and resident laundry.
- Stock supplies in common areas, restrooms, laundry carts, etc.
- Wash interior windows and fixtures.
- Food Service.
- Dining room set up, including updating menus, correct table set‑up, and ensuring furnishings are clean.
- Set up for special events.
Support
- Deliver papers, flyers, etc. to resident apartments.
- Answer phones.
- Collect new employee and resident information, make copies, file, create brochures for prospective residents, stock office supplies, and assist with preparation of mailings.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–2 years of housekeeping experience in a similar environment preferred.
- Meet background check and specific requirements upon request.
This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire.
