• Shift: Varies to meet contract needs (Sunday through Saturday)

• Sweep, mop, and maintain all café floors to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and monitor for maintenance issues.
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the café, transport waste to designated disposal areas, and maintain clean dumpster zones.
• Perform simple fixes such as tightening loose fixtures, replacing light bulbs, patching small wall scuffs, or adjusting door hardware.
• Wipe down non-food-contact equipment (e.g., shelves, storage racks, utility carts) and keep maintenance tools organized.
• Sweep entryways, maintain sidewalks or patio seating areas, and remove debris.
• Report hazards, monitor for spills, and ensure walkways remain clear and safe.
• Track cleaning and maintenance supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
• Assist café employees with quick cleanup needs, move furniture, or set up spaces as required.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a janitorial, custodial, or utility cleaning role.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, safe chemical use, and sanitation standards.
• Comfortable working around customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain cleanliness during busy café hours.
• Clear communication of issues or supply needs to management.
• Quick identification of cleanliness issues, safety hazards, or maintenance needs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Regularly lift, move, and carry cleaning supplies, trash bags, equipment, and materials weighing 30–40 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Spend most of the shift standing, walking between café, ice cream shop, storage areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, stretch, and reach overhead to clean surfaces, access supplies, and perform minor repairs.
• Perform repetitive cleaning motions such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, wiping, and trash handling throughout the shift.
• Use hands and fingers to operate cleaning tools, tighten fixtures, replace bulbs, and handle small maintenance tasks.
• Push cleaning carts, move trash bins, and reposition light furniture or equipment as needed.
• Work in both indoor café/ice cream shop environments and outdoor areas such as entryways, sidewalks, patios, and waste disposal zones.
• Regular handling of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and sanitizers following safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Exposure to warm kitchen areas, cooler storage rooms, and outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
• Typical café noise such as espresso machines, blenders, customer conversations, and background music.
• Occasional exposure to food waste, cleaning product odors, and trash during removal and disposal tasks.
• Awareness of slip, trip, & fall hazards in environments with spills, wet floors, or clutter.
