The First Presbyterian Church of Canton, 275 Linden, Street, is looking for a custodian. The position is 12 hours a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am – 12:00pm. The work schedule is flexible. Salary is $15 an hour.

Job responsibilities include:

• Clean kitchen appliances and wipe down kitchen counters.
• Sweep kitchen floor and mop. Done twice a week and as needed.
• Keep Fellowship Hall Tables and chairs clean. Sweep and mop the floor weekly and as needed.
• Clean Office Manager and Pastor 's office and Pastor's restroom weekly.
• Sweep and mop all other tile floors weekly.
• Run vacuum in Narthex and Sanctuary.
• Clean tables in Library and vacuum weekly and after meetings.
• Clean Handicapped Restroom and Men and Women restrooms weekly.
• Dust all surfaces weekly, especially all of the windowsills.
• Clean nursery. Check the garbage can for soiled diapers.
• Empty all garbage cans.
• Take garbage to the dumpster.
• Take the recycling garbage to blue cans outside Fellowship Hall.
• Keep glass around the courtyard inside and outside and the glass facing the courtyard clean.
• Keep the door glass clean.
• Weed landscape area in from of church and by the kitchen.
• Weed courtyard, water flowers and take care of the fountain. Remove dirt and debris with a net three times a week. Replace chlorine tablets as needed. Check weekly.
• Keep track of all kitchen supplies and cleaning supplies needed.
• Put up and take down bell tables as needed.
• Change banner in the Sanctuary as directed by Pastor.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the pastor.
