Custodian - 3rd shift

Job Description

Custodian: 3rd shift (11 pm–7 am).

• Perform general, daily custodial duties in assigned areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum classrooms, shop spaces, and all open spaces within designated areas and other locations as needed.
• Handle daily trash and recyclable disposal.
• Sanitize, disinfect, and wash toilets, sinks, showers, and other hard surfaces.
• Clean windows inside and outside of the building.
• Restock paper products and soap.
• Report damages, vandalism, or leaks to the supervisor.
• Maintain and properly store equipment and tools assigned to shift.
• Assist with training new staff on duties and equipment use.
• Perform snow removal and de‑icing of walkways and exterior stairs.
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

• Responsible individual with knowledge and experience in custodial work.
• Detail oriented with ability to recognize unclean areas needing attention.
• Ability to follow best safety practices and procedures and understand SDS requirements.
• Capable of safely using all tools and equipment related to duties.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects safely.
• Basic computer skills to retrieve and respond to work orders assigned to individual.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Professional conduct around staff and students.

According to the SEIU

Contract:

$53,799.40 – $73,591.00 + $1.25 per hour differential.

Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor, and Shift Supervisor.

• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Full-time.
