Custodian - 3rd shift

POSITION:
Custodian: (third shift 11pm-7am)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs general, daily custodial duties in assigned areas.
Performs dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming of classrooms, shop spaces and all open spaces within designated areas and other locations as needed.
Performs daily trash and recyclable disposal.
Sanitize, disinfect and wash toilets, sinks, showers and other hard surfaces.
Cleans windows inside and outside of the building.
Restocks paper products and soap.
Reports damages, vandalism or leaks to the supervisor.
Maintains and properly stores equipment and tools assigned to his/her shift.
Assists with training new staff on duties and equipment use.
Willingness to continue training and workplace safety.
Performs snow removal and de-icing of walkways and exterior stairs.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsible individual with knowledge and experience in custodial work.
Detail oriented with ability to recognize uncleanly areas needing attention.
Ability to follow best safety practices and procedures and understand SDS requirements.
Capable of safely using all tools and equipment related to duties.
Ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects safely.
Basic computer skills to retrieve and respond to work orders assigned to individual.
Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
Conduct themselves in a professional manner around staff and students .

SALARY RANGE:
According to the SEIU Contract - $53,799.40 - $73,591.00 + $1.25 hr differential

REPORTS TO:

Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor, and Shift supervisor
