SummaryThe Data Center Cleaning Technician Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of our controlled environments. This position is not only about keeping areas visually clean but ensuring that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously maintained to meet the strict guidelines of cleanliness required in a data center setting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines. Continually monitor the cleaning procedures to ensure all cleanings are completed promptly and correctly
- Participate in continuous training:
Data Center, technical skills, safety, performance improvement - Micro-clean all surfaces within the general and critical environment including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors
- Follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail, including documentation
- Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances)
- Review changes to SOP/SOW documentation and re‑train
- Assist in the cross training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel
- Utilize cleaning equipment and tools
- Clean critical spaces
- Cover for or support Data Center Operations Manager when required
- Perform all other duties as defined by supervisor
- Familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements (including SDS)
- Fully comprehend Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain confidentiality
- Pass a background check and I-9
- Perform basic maintenance and operation of cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, etc.)
- Read, write, speak and comprehend conversational English
- High school diploma or GED; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions
- Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities:

- Use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Reach with hands or arms
- The weight or force requirement in this position is up to 40 pounds
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
- Ability to adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
