Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2 PM – 11 PM & Monthly Weekend Coverage

Position Summary

The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for providing front-line leadership for the Maintenance Department during second shift operations, ensuring equipment reliability, employee safety, and efficient completion of maintenance activities.

This role supervises maintenance personnel and coordinates daily work assignments to support plant operations while minimizing downtime. The Maintenance Foreman works closely with the Maintenance Management Team to prioritize work, maintain equipment reliability, and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Champion a zero-incident safety culture by enforcing all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices. Lead by example in the use of proper PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space, and fall protection practices. Identify and address unsafe conditions, behaviors, or equipment hazards immediately. Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure maintenance work is performed in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Maintenance Operations & Equipment Reliability: Assign maintenance work based on priorities established by the Maintenance leadership team. Adjust work priorities as needed to address urgent operational or safety issues. Coordinate maintenance response to equipment failures to minimize downtime. Develop working knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance systems to support effective troubleshooting and repair. Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Supervise maintenance employees during routine shift operations, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback. Promote a culture of Accountability, Integrity, and Teamwork across the department. Address performance concerns, reinforce company rules, and ensure consistent application of policies. Assist in employee training and skill development to strengthen the maintenance team’s technical capabilities. Foster collaboration between maintenance and production teams to support operational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance equipment performance. Support initiatives that drive innovation and process improvement within the maintenance function. Utilize data, maintenance records, and operational feedback to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Communication & Responsiveness: Maintain clear and effective communication with operations leadership, maintenance management, and team members. Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, issues, and shift updates. Respond promptly to equipment issues impacting production or safety.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical repair or industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
