Role:
Building Custodian responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, and common areas
- operation of cleaning equipment
- minor repairs
- grounds maintenance such as mowing, snow removal, and sweeping
- handling supplies
- conserving energy
- ensuring overall safety and cleanliness of indoor and outdoor spaces
- Knowledge of cleaning standards, building codes, safety precautions, and minor maintenance of plumbing, heating, and electrical systems.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment, perform manual tasks, lift objects up to 70 pounds, follow instructions, and communicate positively with staff and students.
- Experience in building and grounds maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair, with the ability to climb heights and perform manual tasks.
- Must pass background checks and meet experience criteria.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and efficient school environment.
