Maintenance Foreman / Lead
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer seeking a Maintenance Foreman / Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for directing maintenance technicians, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring equipment reliability while maintaining compliance with cGMP, FDA, and OSHA standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys leading by example, mentoring a team, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility utilities, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressed air systems, and water systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
- Partner with Production and Quality teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS system.
- Support facility audits, inspections, and equipment investigations.
- Coordinate spare parts inventory and vendor support for maintenance activities.
- Mentor team members and promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational training or an Associate degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading or supervising maintenance personnel.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility utility systems.
- Experience maintaining HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, air compressors, and other facility equipment.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
- Experience using CMMS software for work orders and preventive maintenance.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate teams while maintaining accountability and high performance.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting FDA or regulatory inspections.
- Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Experience managing maintenance contractors and outside vendors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in cleanroom and controlled manufacturing environments requiring appropriate gowning.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call assignments as business needs require.
