Business Property Maintenance Manager

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Carlsbad, California, for a Business Property Maintenance Manager. The role involves overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring the functionality of commercial property equipment through preventative measures, managing maintenance schedules to maintain optimal business operations, and conducting commercial property inspections, such as fire alarms, CERS, stormwater pollution, and air pollution maintenance, to comply with state and city requirements.

Daily duties also include performing property inspections, repairs, and managing facility-related projects to ensure a safe and efficient working environment, coordinating annual maintenance of laboratory equipment, inspecting property plumbing and electrical systems to ensure proper operation, handling various aspects of commercial property maintenance as needed, and providing annual health and safety inspections to management and owners.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory skills, with the ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team effectively
• Experience in equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance to ensure operational readiness and avoid disruptions
• Strong capabilities in maintenance management, including creating schedules, overseeing projects, and budgeting
• Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair tasks to address facility and equipment challenges promptly
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in facilities management or a related field are a plus
• Physical capability to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and manual labor
