Job Details:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Permanent Maintenance and Safety Manager to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all our machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition and that our work environment is safe and conducive for all our employees. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of mechanical maintenance, machine maintenance technology, continuous improvement, and industrial manufacturing.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering processes and the safety of our personnel.
- 1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
- 2. Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- 3. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for scheduling routine maintenance, tracking equipment history, and managing maintenance inventory.
- 4. Lead the continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance and safety department to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- 5. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address potential safety hazards and machinery malfunctions.
- 6. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- 7. Conduct regular safety training and drills for employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment.
- 8. Develop and manage the budget for the maintenance and safety department.
- 9. Regularly inspect and evaluate the organization's facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and plan preventive maintenance.
- 10. Respond promptly to emergency situations or equipment breakdowns, coordinating repairs and minimizing downtime.
- 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
- 3. Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, machine maintenance technology, continuous improvement, and industrial manufacturing.
- 4. Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- 5. Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- 6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- 7. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
