General Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a hands‑on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Perform electrical work, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing circuits.
• Fabricate and weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
• Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic standards.
• Work with logic controllers to monitor and adjust system operations.
• Supervise maintenance staff as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.

• Experience in Senior Living a plus;
  Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field.
• At least 6 months’ proven experience in facilities coordination or a related field.
• The ability to lift at least 35 pounds.
• The ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience in electrical systems.
• Familiarity with ohmmeters and other testing equipment.
• Ability to fabricate and weld metal components effectively.
• Experience in residential painting techniques is preferred.
• Understanding of logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks.
• Proficient in using CMMS for effective maintenance management.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
