Commercial Building HVAC and Maintenance Technician

Vaco has partnered with a Property Management company with a Commercial Office space in Carmel, IN to hire a Commercial Building and HVAC Maintenance Technician.

The Building Maintenance Technician is the operational backbone of a multi-building commercial office complex. You will perform routine maintenance, proactively troubleshoot building systems, and respond to service requests from tenants, visitors, and leadership with professionalism and urgency. This is a hands‑on, on‑your‑feet role across a four‑season property with diverse and dynamic maintenance needs year‑round.

• 5+ years of experience supporting commercial office space (Class A Building experience is highly preferred)
• Ability to work on:
  • HVAC basics: filters, belts, and related upkeep
  • Automatic doors – repair and maintenance
  • Key locks and access hardware
  • Lighting – bulb replacement and fixture work
  • Plumbing: toilets, sinks, and fixtures
  • Elevator maintenance experience is nice to have but not required
• Strong communication skills – must be able to professionally service tenants, visitors, and building leadership
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and at heights

• Valid US work authorization required
• Personal vehicle required
• Pre‑employment drug screening and background check required
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work Mon‑Fri, 8am‑5pm with occasional on‑call hours

• $65,000 - $75,000 annual base salary
