Role Description

This full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role is based in Carmel, IN. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on building systems, equipment, and common areas to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing work orders, conducting preventive maintenance, and coordinating with vendors when specialized service is required. The role also involves responding to maintenance requests from residents or property management, maintaining accurate records of work performed, and adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

The Maintenance Technician works closely with the property management team to support a high-quality living environment for residents.

Qualifications
  • Strong Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for building systems and common area equipment.
  • Experience with Troubleshooting and Industrial Maintenance to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Basic proficiency with hand and power tools, and ability to read and follow maintenance manuals and work orders.
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to building and facility maintenance.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment as required, and to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in residential, commercial, or community property maintenance is preferred.
