Outreach is hiring a Part-Time Janitor at Jubilee Village 1 + 2 (10-12 hours per week) in Carol Stream
. The Part-Time Janitor is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and welcoming facilities. This position performs routine and deep-cleaning duties to help ensure our transitional housing facilities provide a safe, clean, and trauma-informed environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

• Perform routine cleaning throughout Jubilee Village 1 and 2, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning glass, and emptying trash.
• Clean and maintain common areas, offices, laundry rooms, childcare spaces, and other shared areas.
• Deep clean apartments following resident move-outs to prepare units for new tenants.
• Assist with annual steam cleaning of common-area carpets in coordination with Transitional Housing leadership.
• Help maintain building safety and security while completing cleaning responsibilities.
• Identify and report facility repairs or maintenance concerns to the Executive Director of Transitional Housing.
• Interact with residents, clients, staff, and visitors in a respectful, positive, and professional manner.

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely handle and use commercial cleaning products.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and after-hours as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of professional cleaning experience required.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and instructions.
• Ability to consistently maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
• Bilingual ability preferred but not required.
