Apartment Maintenance Technician—Carpentersville

Full‑time position with a competitive pay range of $24‑$25 per hour.

Schedule:

  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (hours may vary)
  • Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Apartment Maintenance Technician who is reliable, detail‑oriented and can work independently in a fast‑paced team environment.

Key qualifications include:

  • Reliable transportation
  • At least 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
  • Familiarity with basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance maintenance
  • Ability to work independently, follow directions, and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

What you will be doing:

  • Perform routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
  • Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally
  • Maintain property grounds by removing trash, leaves, branches, and other debris to keep common areas clean and attractive
  • Support the completion of unit turnovers and make‑readies, including painting, repairs, and cleaning as needed
  • Assist in preventative maintenance efforts to extend the life of property systems and equipment
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
  • Deliver notices and communications to residents as directed by management
  • Participate in an on‑call schedule for after‑hours maintenance emergencies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
