Position: MAINTENANCE CHIEF III

POSITION DUTIES

Performs general maintenance repairs and services to maintain the building and grounds of the Public Safety Education and Training Center and ensure ongoing operations for all critical services. General maintenance and repairs include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/construction, landscaping, janitorial and other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet all minimum (and selective) qualifications to be considered, and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:

Five years of experience in building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/construction, or a related field.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s).Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
1. Supervisory experience including the responsibility for assigning, reviewing and approving the work of other building maintenance workers.
2. Prior experience performing general maintenance repairs for a State or public facility/ building.
