Cleaning Staff Position

The cleaning staff is responsible for the cleaning of the resort villas.

The duties of this position focus on daily and scheduled cleaning.

Perform cleaning tasks of surfaces and furniture in the villas, as well as deep cleaning of kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and terraces with barbecues, selecting the techniques, tools, and products to ensure sanitation, conservation, under supervision, complying with applicable regulations in the field of safety and health.

Respond promptly to requests from clients and other departments.

Daily client labor:

There are three different cleaning services offered to clients during their stay. They differ by the depth of the tasks.

Daily cleaning:

• Remove trash
• Clean counter top and sink and cooktop
• Change kitchen towels and kitchen paper
• Report if salt or rinse aid is missing in the dishwasher
• Empty ashtrays and trash cans
• Make beds without changing sheets
• Disinfect and clean toilets and bidets and clean sinks
• Reposition towels that are on the floor
• Reposition kleenex, toilet paper if necessary
• Report if curtains or valances are misplaced

Mid-week cleaning:

• Remove trash
• Clean counter top and sink
• Report if salt or rinse aid is missing in the dishwasher
• Clean mirrors and glass
• Clean the floor and furniture of the terrace and solarium, remove ashes from BBQ and request a clean grill
• Make beds without changing sheets
• Clean bathrooms (countertops, sinks, faucets, walls, bathtubs, shower curtains and shower floor)
• Empty trash cans
• Reposition used towels with clean ones
• Restock shampoo, soap, paper and tissues in bathrooms
• Dust all furniture (e.g. bedheads, bedside tables, doors, living room furniture, TVs, etc.)
• Vacuum and mop the entire villa
• Report if curtains or valances are misplaced

Full clean:

• Remove trash
• Clean counter top, sink, cooktop and oven
• Report if salt or rinse aid is missing in the dishwasher
• Clean mirrors and glass
• Clean the floor and furniture of the terrace and solarium, remove ashes from BBQ and request a clean grill
• Change sheets of all beds including extra beds, sofa beds or cribs
• Clean bathrooms (countertops, sinks, faucets, walls, bathtubs, shower curtains and shower floor)
• Empty trash cans
• Reposition used towels with clean ones
• Restock shampoo, soap, paper and tissues in bathrooms
• Dust all furniture (e.g. bedheads, bedside tables, doors, living room furniture, TVs, etc.)
• Clean windows and sliding glass doors
• Vacuum and mop the entire villa
• Report if curtains or valances are misplaced

Labors at the time of client departure 'check out':

The deep and detailed cleaning of the entire villa.

Additionally to the full clean, the following is cleaned:

• All glassware, pots, dishes and all kitchen utensils.
• Kitchen furniture inside and out, bedroom cabinets inside and out.
• Ventilation outlets (air conditioning grilles).
• Clean the rails of sliding doors, windows and window panes.
• Clean kitchen utensils such as toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator, etc. That are free of limescale.

Labors during the general cleaning of the villas:

It is cleaned the same as the cleaning at the time of client departure, but after a complete review by the maintenance department.

Safety and Surveillance

• Report work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately after they occur to the department head or supervisor.
• Follow company and department safety policies and procedures to ensure a clean, healthy and safe environment.
• Follow the procedures of the Hazardous Materials Management Program for the handling and disposal of chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, blood-borne pathogens, etc., including the use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Use the appropriate equipment, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper load lifting procedures, when necessary, to avoid injuries.
• Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management or security personnel.
• Attend training in occupational risk prevention appropriate to your position.
• Follow the specific procedures of the property in emergency situations (e.g. evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
• Follow the policies and procedures for the proper storage of tools, equipment and machinery.
• Be aware of the presence of unwelcome persons on the premises.

• Ensure that your uniform, identification tags and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Protect company tools, equipment, machinery, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of confidential materials and information.
• Perform other reasonable job tasks as requested by supervisors.

• Respond to customer service needs in a professional, positive and timely manner.
