Floor Technician

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

  Cartersville Primary School – 315 Etowah Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120 (openings available at other district locations)
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday; hours may vary. Full and part‑time flexible schedules available.
• Prior floor care experience preferred.
• Pay: $12.50 – $13.00 per hour.
• Same‑day pay; comprehensive benefits package.

• Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and proper procedures, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment to clean large floor areas.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Preferred: previous experience as a floor care technician or related role.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Capacity for frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
