Armstrong Service in partnership with R.J. Reynolds is currently interviewing for full time Utility System Operator in Winston – Salem and King, NC.

Compensation is hourly wage paid weekly.

Key ResponsibilitiesEmployees are responsible for the reliable delivery of high‑quality utilities and customer service.
Responsibilities include daily 24/7 operation and maintenance of high‑pressure water‑tube boilers, open and closed‑loop chiller and HVAC systems, compressed air and vacuum systems.
Key Requirements- Must demonstrate safe behavior, self‑motivation, flexibility in working shifts, good communication skills, and a CAN DO attitude.
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills to perform troubleshooting and repair.
- Basic computer skills required for logs and other communications.
- Experience required: 2 to 5 years in utility systems operation (hands‑on and distributed control systems experience preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Education required:
High School or equivalent. - Background and earnings check will be required.
- Walking, climbing stairs and ladders.
- Operating computer keyboard and mouse.
- Operating radio and phone devices for communications.
- Keyboarding/typing.
- Turning valves and operating other industrial equipment.
- Driving automobile and other mobile equipment.
