Light Equipment Operator - Department of Public Works. Full Time/hours: 40 hours / week. Union/Grade:
Teamsters / D-2. Salary Range: $24.54 - $29.90 per hour. Description of Position:
The Town of Wayland seeks qualified candidates for a Light Equipment Operator position with the Department of Public Works. This position performs a variety of skills, semi-skilled and unskilled manual labor in the maintenance, care and upkeep of fields, grounds, beaches, playgrounds, cemeteries, highway, basins, sidewalks, structures and facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: mowing, tree/shrub planting, removal and maintenance;

maintenance/repair of recreation fields, structures and facilities; grounds keeping work; plows/shovel snow in roads, sidewalks and parking lot.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
