Maintenance Technician

This position is responsible for ensuring production Up Time. Ensure scheduled maintenance and repairs are completed in a thorough, safe, and timely manner. Complete all work orders as set forth by the maintenance software program and/or verbal or written communication presented by maintenance management.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

* Perform mechanical and/or electrical repairs to equipment and machinery as needed. Includes both low and high electrical voltage.

* Perform preventive maintenance as needed, and as outlined in work order.

* Perform electrical and/or mechanical and building installs as required and outlined.

* Perform metal fabrication as required.

* Work out of aerial lifts as needed.

* Perform general maintenance of buildings and outside areas.

* Perform all work in a timely, safe and workmanlike manner.

* Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

* Experience:

3 years
-5 years minimum of hands-on with heavy industrial maintenance experience, with mechanical and electrical equipment.

* General mathematic ability.

* Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

* Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making objectives.

* Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages.

* Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.

* Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures.

* Ability to operate overhead cranes, fork lift trucks, and other equipment following proper procedures.

* Ability to operate various hand tools.
