Seasonal Auto Glass Repair Specialist

Overview

A certified Safelite Repair Specialist I field technician who will utilize our industry-leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and provide outstanding customer service.

• Learn to repair vehicle glass in classroom and hands‑on environments, following the Safelite Way of Fitting under guidance of experienced technicians.
• Repair chips, cracks and other auto‑glass issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation and communication via Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, and workplace equipment and chemicals.
• Execute all other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

• Competitive weekly base pay starting at $16.50 per hour.
• Paid training and all tools and resources needed for success.

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• On‑the‑job training and completion of Safelite Safe Tech certification (required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs and assist other associates with windshields weighing 26‑50 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate motor vehicles according to all laws and be monitored via camera/video surveillance.
• Provide professional customer service and exceed expectations.
• Work outside in varied weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Handle chemicals, including flammable substances, as applicable.
• Adapt to flexible shift schedules to accommodate customer needs.
• Problem‑solve and troubleshoot independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write, and interpret English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally (phone) and written electronically.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company uniform and PPE policies.
• Maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure.
