Part Time Custodian II Floater

Part Time Custodian II – 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Salary Range: $21.06 per hour

• General cleaning: sweeping, carpet and blind cleaning, waste receptacle emptying, toilet sanitation, dispenser refilling
• Cleaning light fixtures and replacing bulbs
• Yard work: mowing, trimming, general cleanup, athletic field marking
• Ice and snow removal from walkways and entries
• Assisting with receiving and storing cafeteria supplies
• Moving and arranging furniture for school functions
• Carrying out additional requests from building principal and engineer as needed
• Other duties as assigned

The position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, handling objects, squatting, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling heavy items. Critical demands include climbing ladders with a tool belt weighing ~10 lbs; shoveling 30 lb push; pushing/pulling 40 lb effort; bucket lift and pour 50 lbs; office desk lift (one end) 90 lbs; transferring 50 lbs from ground to 41”; lifting from 37” to 67” shelf 30 lbs;

carrying 80 lbs for 20 feet; and exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.

The work area is usually quiet, but may involve operating equipment where hearing protection is recommended. Tasks are performed on tile, wood, terrazzo and concrete surfaces, often outdoors in hot, cold, wet, snow, sleet, and icy conditions.
