Job Description:

As a 2nd shift Custodian at Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, you will play an important role in maintaining clean, safe, and well‑cared for facilities that support employees, operations, and specialized work areas across RCI buildings. This position helps ensure that the work environment remains organized, functional, and ready to support the demands of an aerospace and defense manufacturing setting.

• Perform general custodial cleaning to help maintain safe, clean, and professional facility spaces.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, common areas, floors, and carpets according to established standards.
• Support clean‑room areas by following required procedures and completing applicable training.
• Assist with special facility projects, including lamp replacement, window washing, recycling, and other assigned tasks.
• Maintain, track, and order custodial supplies and inventory for assigned buildings.
• Complete duties with limited supervision while following written and verbal instructions.
• May be required to lift/move heavy parts and/or equipment weighing up to 55 pounds.

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.).
• Must be able to solve mathematical problems and follow written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM).
• Good physical stamina to perform custodial tasks and lift up to 55 pounds.
