Salary: $21.85 to $25.00+ per hour. The posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

• Assist in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the Rocky Vista University Colorado campus through the performance of routine facilities, grounds, and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities for campus safety systems at RVU Colorado.
• Assist in creating and maintaining schedules for routine facility inspections, preventive maintenance, and recurring maintenance activities.
• Assist senior Facilities and Grounds Technicians as needed.
• Monitor facility conditions and submit maintenance project requests to the Manager of Facilities and Grounds to support the safe and efficient operation of the campus.
• Assist the Manager of Facilities and Grounds and Facilities team in maintaining plans and schedules that support 24/7 campus operations, including building use, custodial services, grounds, maintenance, safety, and emergency response.
• Ensure operation and upkeep of vehicles and equipment owned by RVU.
• Prepare, arrange, and restore campus facilities for use by university departments and organizations, including event set up, teardown, and cleanup.
• Assist with planning and coordinating snow removal activities, and remove snow and ice from campus walkways, entrances, and other designated areas using shovels and light equipment.
• Assist with monitoring, maintaining, and repairing the campus irrigation system and grounds.
• Read and interpret basic architectural and engineering drawings, plans, and schematics to support maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
• Pick up and deliver laundry to support campus operations.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including the receipt, delivery, and distribution of packages, materials, and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
