Role Overview
The Facility Operations Technician supports the maintenance and operation of building systems, facility equipment, and production support infrastructure at Beehive Industries’ Centennial, Colorado facility. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and facilities teams, this role performs routine preventative maintenance, assists with repairs, and supports general facility upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and reliable working environment. The ideal candidate has developing technical skills, foundational experience in facility or industrial maintenance, and the ability to work with limited supervision on routine tasks.

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations
- Perform routine industrial maintenance tasks including fabrication, installation, and inspections of facility equipment and building systems
- Support maintenance and repair of facility systems including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, lighting, flooring, walls, and mechanical components
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and support equipment including compressors, chillers, generators, CNC support systems, and additive manufacturing equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic issues under limited supervision

- Manage and update facility work orders through ticketing and asset tracking systems, prioritizing tasks appropriately
- Support setup and breakdown of furniture, equipment, and event materials throughout the facility
- Follow maintenance procedures and work instructions to complete assigned tasks independently or with minimal direction
- Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively for maintenance and repair tasks
- Maintain accurate records of completed work in maintenance tracking systems
- Communicate facility or equipment issues to senior technicians or supervisors
- Contribute to team efforts by supporting facility operations and ensuring minimal disruption to production
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal training in a mechanical trade, facility maintenance, or technical program preferred
- 1–2 years of facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, construction, or related hands‑on experience
- Exposure to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or industrial systems in a manufacturing or facilities environment
- Experience performing preventative maintenance or routine repairs with some independence
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and facility system issues with limited supervision
- Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures, instructions, and basic technical documentation
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking or CMMS systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing facility priorities
- Developing ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or compressed air systems
- Exposure to CNC machines, additive manufacturing equipment, or industrial production environments
- Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings
- Experience using CMMS platforms such as Limble or similar systems
- Automotive, military, or trade school background
- Interest in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement practices
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout a facility for extended periods
