Hospital Services Technician

As a Hospital Services Technician at Waste Management (WM), you support safe, compliant handling of medical and hazardous waste inside healthcare facilities. You collect, segregate, and transport waste, operate material-handling equipment, and follow strict OSHA, EPA, DOT, and infection-control procedures. You maintain clean, organized work areas, complete required documentation, and partner with hospital staff to ensure reliable, responsive service. Responsibilities

• Collect, segregate, and transport medical and hazardous waste within hospital facilities
• Operate material handling equipment and maintain safe, clean collection areas
• Follow OSHA, EPA, DOT, and hospital infection-control and safety procedures
• Use PPE and decontamination practices to minimize risk of exposure
• Complete logs, manifests, and chain-of-custody documentation accurately
• Inspect containers and storage areas and report safety concerns immediately
• Collaborate with hospital staff to schedule pickups and resolve service issues
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives aligned with WM standards
