Essential Functions- Paint interior and exterior surfaces, repair damaged walls and drywall, replace windows, hang cabinets, repair kitchen counters, install carpet, baseboard and vinyl tiles.
- Remove damaged appliances and install replacement microwaves, sinks, refrigerators, and stove tops.
- Perform general carpentry-related tasks as well as landscaping and parking lot repairs.
- Assist with completion of the preventative maintenance checklist and complete minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, lighting fixtures, etc. to maintain the hotel and ensure product quality to standard.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions according to company checklists.
- Repair or replace PTACS, hot water heaters, and commercial washer/dryers.
- Assist in checking electrical systems such as PTAC, light switches, electrical panels, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs or replacements.
- Assist in checking and make minor repairs to general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Conduct periodic (weekly/monthly) building safety and security audits for submission to the corporate offices.
- Provide inventory management to ensure property is equipped with necessary parts and supplies.
- Clean and maintain interior and exterior common areas of the hotel: hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lot and grounds so property is cleaned to standards.
- Inspect rooms and public areas to accepted health and safety standards for pest control.
- Clean and maintain entrances, sidewalks, and emergency exits.
- Assist guests in checking in or out as directed by the General Manager.
- Keep store rooms in clean, safe, and organized condition at all times.
- Assist other staff with laundry removal and Move Out cleans as necessary.
- Assist guests with general questions and inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct minor repairs such as tightening toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching walls.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces.
- Follow company and department safety policies; complete required safety training and certifications.
- Report accidents, injuries, or serious maintenance issues immediately to management.
- Handle hazardous materials safely and in compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Ensure professional appearance with clean uniform and nametag.
- Provide courteous and timely service to guests; support coworkers with dignity and respect.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and reaching overhead.
- Assist with emergency procedures such as evacuations or medical situations.
- Notify General Manager of any major repairs.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties as requested by management.

- Prior maintenance or engineering experience preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards, tools, and equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle repairs independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
