Athletic Equipment Technician

Coordinating the storage, maintenance, repair, and distribution of athletic equipment and uniforms.

• HS diploma or equivalent, and one year of stock room or custodial experience is desired
• Valid AZ Driver's License and three years citation-free driving record
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in team and individual sports
• Ability to sew and repair athletic clothing and equipment
• Satisfactory criminal background check

• Clean, repair, and store all athletic equipment in a neat, orderly, and systematic manner.
• Issue equipment and supplies for use; upon completion, receive, clean, repair, and store for subsequent use.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all supplies and equipment.
• Set up and take down game equipment as needed.
• Accompany athletic teams to away games and provide necessary support.
• Distribute athletic equipment to high schools as required.
• Oversee the work of student assistants as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist in ordering replacement uniforms and equipment.
• Operate and care for school district equipment properly.
• Report safety or security hazards and any major repair needs promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected student and staff information, even after employment ends.
• Follow all district policies and perform duties safely and prudently as directed by supervisors.
• Be flexible and perform other duties related to the general job function as assigned by the supervisor.
