Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on ISO Tanks. Determines the overall mechanical condition of ISO Tanks, diagnoses component malfunctions, and initiates repair actions. Properly annotates all maintenance and labor performed in maintenance management software.
Essential Functions:
Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
Drain tank and insuring tank is dry
Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
Lubricate and clean parts
Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
Use hand tools and power tools
Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards
Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Education/
Experience:
High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent vocational school preferred, but not required.
Candidates will possess a mechanical background
Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
Detailed oriented
Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
Supervisory Responsibility:
None
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. These hours are subject to change as business needs.
Travel:
Travel for training as required
Work Environment:
This job operates in a depot and outside environment. Weather conditions may vary.

The employee will regularly and repetitively be required to talk, hear, sit, type, reach and grasp.
This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping or crouching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment in all conditions.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
