Maintenance Manager

Location: Chapel Hill, NC (onsite; relocating to Timberlake, NC mid-year)

Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

Voltage is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to support the startup, stabilization, and ongoing maintenance of a new manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing facility maintenance, equipment readiness, vendor coordination, preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and operational work environment.

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of building systems and property, production equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Ensure all equipment is properly installed, operational, and maintained during facility startup and ramp-up.
• Perform or coordinate minor repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain readiness of critical systems (electrical, HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, safety systems).
• Monitor vendor work quality, timelines, and safety compliance.
• Identify potential equipment risks and recommend corrective actions to prevent downtime.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Safety teams to support facility growth.
• Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and inspection documentation.

• High School Diploma or higher with 7+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
• Experience supporting new facility startups or expansions preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working in an active production environment.

• Prior maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience working with preventive maintenance systems or CMMS.
• Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety standards.
• Technical certification or trade background (electrical, mechanical, HVAC) is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Must be able to work safely around machinery, electrical systems, and industrial equipment.
