Job description

Responsibilities- Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
- Rework and stamp pickups self-identified and/or written by Air Framer and/or customer during the build of the Aircraft.
- Replace/troubleshoot faulty electronic components and other damaged parts, adjusting misaligned panels / trim pieces, provide assistance to the Air Framer seat installation team and other miscellaneous tasks given.
- Sustain a high quality level of workmanship at all times.
- Respond promptly to all communication (telephone, etc.) with Air Framer personnel and customers.
- Maintain a good rapport with Air Framer personnel and customers.
- Follow Safran /Air Framer safety guidelines or processes established by the organization at all times.
- Submit accurate part order requests and understand the POA / SOA process at Air Framer / Safran.
- Responsible for driving company van and other technicians safely around Air Framer/Safran Facilities.
- Attend Safran daily standup/tie-in meeting.
- Adhere to Air Framer /Safran training requirements that relate to Flight line, Safety and other course overviews throughout the year.
- Coordinate verbally with QA's, Engineers, Lead's, Technicians and other key Air Framer / Safran personnel on a daily basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Qualification Requirements
- A. Education & Qualification- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a related technical field preferred.
- B. Work Experience
- Technical knowledge- At least 2 years of Field Service experience related to troubleshooting and repairs required. - C. Professional Skills- Natural mechanical ability with hand and power tools; basic working knowledge of CMM's, Engineering Drawing's and other technical documents; basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS Office applications; proficient using smartphones/tablets to send emails and pictures; valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
- D. Behavioral Skills- Ability to work efficiently under stressful situations; follows instructions and completes jobs in a timely manner; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work varied hours, after hours and weekends as needed; ability to manage multiple tasks and customer priorities; willingness to travel to other Air Framer FALs in other states and international Safran sites; ability to generate written communication and operate required office equipment;
ability to read and review written communication;
English language proficiency (speech and hearing). - E. Desirable Aspects- Hands-on electrical troubleshooting knowledge (voltage testing and continuity); demonstrated participation in continuous improvement efforts; clear written and verbal communication.
- Travel International and/or Domestic travel required; approximately 2-4 weeks per year.
