Position SummaryA premier active adult residential community in Indian Land, South Carolina is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tennis Court Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily maintenance, cleanliness, and overall condition of our tennis and pickleball court facilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring residents enjoy safe, attractive, and well-maintained recreational amenities year-round.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform daily inspections of tennis and pickleball courts to ensure safe playing conditions.
- Clean courts by removing debris, leaves, dirt, and standing water.
- Monitor court surfaces for cracks, wear, drainage issues, and other maintenance concerns.
- Maintain court equipment, including nets, posts, windscreens, benches, and signage.
- Coordinate and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Assist with scheduling and overseeing specialized court maintenance contractors.
- Maintain surrounding landscaping areas, pathways, and spectator areas.
- Support facility setup for community events, tournaments, and recreational programs.
- Monitor lighting systems and report or address maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and supply inventories.
- Respond promptly to resident questions and facility concerns in a professional manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facility maintenance, tennis court maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of tennis and pickleball court maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions.
