Job Description:

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Skin Health Systems devices power treatment menus in thousands of provider practices worldwide — and when a device needs maintenance or repair, providers are counting on a skilled technician to show up, solve the problem, and restore their ability to deliver treatments. The Field Service Technician is that professional: a technically expert, customer-facing representative of Skin Health Systems who travels to provider sites to install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical devices with minimal disruption to the practice.

This is not a desk role — it is a high-autonomy, high-responsibility position where technical precision, professional presence, and service instinct are equally important. The quality of every field visit directly shapes provider confidence in Skin Health Systems and the devices they depend on.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Travel to provider sites to perform installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Skin Health Systems electro-mechanical devices, with the substantial majority of time spent in the field.

Diagnose and troubleshoot device issues on‑site using structured problem‑solving, escalating to Technical Support or the Repair team when remote resolution or RMA processing is required.

Submit complete and accurate field service tickets, ATP reports, and all required documentation daily, maintaining the data integrity standards required for operational reporting and compliance.

Represent Skin Health Systems professionally at every provider interaction — punctual, appropriately attired, and communicating with the care and consistency that reflects the company's service values.

Educate and instruct providers and their staff on device use, care, and maintenance best practices as part of every service visit.

Support internal operational teams — including Technical Support, Engineering, and Training — with field insights, process improvement input, and completion of cross‑functional department projects.

Participate in new‑hire training, sharing field expertise and practical learnings with incoming Field Service Technicians.

Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Required High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical field service, technical support, or electro-mechanical device manufacturing;
IoT/connected device experience is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with electro-mechanical devices, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Proficiency with computer operating systems, software, and field tools including Outlook, Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat, and Concur.
  • Ability to instruct and educate customers on product use, care, and maintenance effectively and professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license; authorized to work, drive, rent a car, and travel within the United States, including trips of up to 1-2 weeks from home base.
